Laura Hamilton is an incredibly versatile Presenter, Voiceover Artist, Actress and Singer.
After gaining A-Levels at Dartford Grammar Girls School in English, Psychology, Theatre Studies and Spanish, Laura opted out of a studying a degree in Law and Psychology in exchange of a job offer at Channel 4 television, making tea for Dermot O’Leary!

During her 1 year contract at the channel, Laura gained enough experience to leave and work as a freelance Assistant Floor Manager. In doing so she worked on a variety of productions including Top of the Pops, The Buckingham Palace Jubilee Celebrations, The Games, T4, Party in the Park, Robbie Williams at Knebworth and Big Brother. The skills she acquired then enabled her to work as a 2nd/3rd Assistant Director on shows such as Family Affairs, The Bill, Harry Potter and Stardust.

However, after 4 years of working behind the scenes, and with her passion for performing, Laura got her first break and moved to ‘the other side of the camera’. She was aptly cast as ‘Melody’ (with a love of music and singing), in the popular pre-school show ‘Fun Song Factory’ for CITV. A total of 52 episodes were filmed and are still airing in the UK, Asia and Australia. The show’s success was followed by a DVD release, two studio albums and a UK tour where the group performed live supporting Lemar and Brian McFadden.

Laura was involved with Fun Song for two and a half years during which time she appeared in the films ‘Dead Man’s Cards’, and ‘Magicians’. She was also the face of Citibank for their European Campaign.

In 2006 Laura became the female face of kids TV channel Nickelodeon. She presented Nickheads, Slime Across The UK, ME:TV (LIVE) and the UK's Kids Choice Awards with McFly in 2007 and Danni Minogue in 2008 for MTV. She has been covered in a great deal of Slime! But it has had its advantages - she has had the opportunity to cover many red carpet events and press junkets both in the UK and US (where she holds a work VISA). She has interviewed the likes of David De Rothschild, Gwen Stefani, Queen Latifah, Maroon 5, Ice Cube, Miley Cyrus, Hilary Duff, Hayden Panetierre, aswell as ‘Drake and Josh’!

In March 2008 Laura started guest presenting on GMTV’s popular weekend show ‘Toonattik’. During the same year she was involved in an exciting new show with Endemol - a fashion design show for children, ‘The Bratz Design Academy’. Up and coming designers worked with Laura to create a dress she wore at an awards ceremony.

Laura has now managed to amass a great deal of experience presenting and performing – from title roles in pantomimes alongside the likes of Steve Guttenberg, Bradley Walsh, and the late Stephen Gately to corporate hosting and commercial voiceovers.

She does a great deal of charity work and is the patron of REACH The Association for Children with Upper Limb Deficiency and a Founding Ambassador of Wellchild for whom she became face of their 'Woof' campaign (toys sold in New Look).

In her spare time Laura loves extreme sports. She has been a keen skier since the age of 9, enjoys wakeboarding and waterskiing and has also sky-dived from 14000ft. With a passion for travel she has seen many parts of the world including East and West America, India, North Africa, UAE, Cuba, Thailand, Hong Kong, Australia, Fiji, and Iceland. She loves cars, interior design and property renovation and bought her first project funded entirely on her own at just 19 years old!

Laura is currently appearing on our screens presenting and writing Nick Jr's 'Wake Up World' (on every morning from 7am-9am) and on Boomerang in the popular Kids Karaoke show 'Staraoke'. She has some exciting projects in store for 2010. Watch this space!...
