Laura is fast becoming a popular presenter on our television screens! As well as being one of the faces of Channel 4's award winning show 'A Place in the Sun', she has a brand new show soon to air on Channel 4 - 'Beat my Build'. During 2013 she will be filming her 4th series of the action, adventure show 'Fort Boyard Ultimate Challenge' for ITV - the previous three series have aired in the UK, USA and throughout Europe. Laura is also regularly presenting for 'Daybreak', out and about on location fronting some of their LIVE OB's.
Laura is never one to shy away from a challenge. She has been a keen skier and snowboarder from a very early age and is a real adrenaline junkie who has sky dived from 14000ft! In 2011, she was chosen as one of the 16 celebrities to participate in ITV1's flagship show 'Dancing on Ice' and soon captured the audience with her fun and friendly personality, good looks, sheer determination and lust for speed and danger. After 12 gruelling weeks, she was crowned Runner Up. She was also invited to brave the 'Big Red Balls' in Argentina and appeared in a Winter special of 'Total Wipeout'.
Prior to working as a presenter, Laura spent 4 years working behind the scenes as an Assistant Floor Manager. She got her first break in front of the camera in 2004, aptly cast as 'Melody' (with a love of music), in CITV's 'Fun Song Factory'. In 2006 she went on to become the female face of the kids channel Nickelodeon and covered many red carpet events and press junkets interviewing the likes of David De Rothschild, Gwen Stefani, Queen Latifah, Maroon 5 and Steven Spielberg. Laura also presented and wrote Nick Jnr's popular morning show 'Wake up World', she co-hosted 'Staraoke' for Cartoon Network, and was a guest presenter on GMTV's weekend show 'Toonattik'.
Laura does a great deal of charity work and is the Patron of 'REACH' The Association for Children with Upper Limb Deficiency, she is a founding Ambassador of 'Wellchild' and also supports 'When you Wish Upon a Star' and 'The Children's Trust Tadworth'.
In her spare time Laura enjoys property renovation and interior design and bought her first property at 19 years old which was entirely self funded. With a passion for travel she has seen many parts of the world including most of Europe, East and West America, India, North Africa, UAE, Cuba, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Hong Kong, Australia, Fiji and Iceland.
As a keen writer, Laura regularly writes for 'A Place in the Sun' magazine and also reviews hotels for national publications.
